CV of Marina Vigorito Galetto

I was born in Italy in 1961. I am married with Giorgio Galetto and we are the proud parents of Chiara, 10 years old.

I started gliding almost late, in 1993, after many years of sailing regattas. I have approximately 400 hours of gliding, with Silver Badge.

Since the very beginning, I was present at the main international gliding events with my husband, as crewmember and coordinator of the logistic of the Italian Team.

Since 2005 I attend to the IGC meeting and FAI General Conference as Observer for the Italian National Aero club. I am the Secretary General of the Italian Soaring Federation and the IGC Trophy Manager.

2004: Deputy Italian Team Manager in Elverum – Norway - at the 4th FAI Club Class World Championships

2005: Team Captain of the Italian Club Class Team in Vinon (France) – Attendance to the 1° FAI Seminar for Event Director in Brøndy (Denmark) - Event Manager for the two FAI World Championships held in Rieti, in 2007 and 2008.

2006: Steward at the 29th FAI World Gliding Championships in Eskilstuna (Sweden) and at the FAI Club and World Classes World Gliding Championships in Vinon (France) - Chief of the Italian Team at the Final Grand Prix in Omarama (New Zealand)

2007: Deputy Contest Director at the 5th FAI Junior World Gliding Championships in Rieti (Italy)

2008: Italian Team Captain at the 30th FAI World Gliding Championships in Rieti (Italy)

2009: Steward at the 6th FAI Junior World Gliding Championships in Räyskälä (Finland) and Member of the International Jury at the 5th Women’s World Gliding Championships in Szeged (Hungary)
